We are Tanna’s BIGGEST FANS that we know. We have started this website in the hopes of raising the bar for Tanna info and images on the internet. We are all 100% behind this amazing talent and we can’t wait to see all the great things that will happen in her Career!

In April of 2007, Tanna Frederick and Dick Schinnow launched the first Iowa Independent Film festival in Music Man Square in Mason City. Frederick had conceived the idea with independent film maker Henry Jaglom who had just directed her in Hollywood Dreams, and the two of them convinced Schinnow that a film festival should be established in North Iowa.

Four years later the festival is still going strong. This year’s highlights include the World Premiere of Charlie Mathau and David Proval’s “Baby-O” and awarding a lifetime achievement award to director Mark Rydell.

The 3rd annual Project Save Our Surf: SURF 24 took place this past weekend (June 19th-20th) in Huntington Beach, California. Event founder Tanna Frederick along with former world champion surfers Peter “”PT” Townend and Shaun Tomson were on hand all weekend for the 24-hour surfathon which hosted a myriad of celebrity and pro-surfers in an effort to raise money for charities Heal The Bay, Surfrider Foundation and Inside the Outdoors. The event coincided with International Surfing Day, which was established by Surfrider Foundation and Surfing Magazine to promote clean oceans and clean water.

Celebrities who hit the surf for this 24-hour-event included John Slattery (Mad Men), Chad Lowe (24), Sam Trammell (True Blood), Tate Donovan (Damages), Richard Burgi (Desperate Housewives), Ingo Rademacher (General Hospital), Zoe Bell (Grindhouse), Galen Gering (Days of Our Lives) and others, along with pro-surfers James Pribram, John Philbin, Tom Curren, Buttons Kaluhiokalani, Don Bigelow, Mary Osborne and Matt Beacham. Musical entertainment was provided by a number of bands including ACIDIC, Common Sense and Human Lab. Project Save Our Surf: SURF 24 raised over $50,000 for charity.
